I have waited all year long for a shot at going outside. To do this meant we had to have temperatures in the range of 20F or lower. Mold will continue to cast spores even down as low as 25F. But aside from a few days back in mid-November 2005, we've been unseasonably warm. In years past this would have been a real boon! I'd have hit the streams and farm ponds for some mid-winter fishing fun. But that won't happen anytime soon: not so long as I have to dodge mold spores.
So... what happens now: with a warm winter going into Spring? Will mold counts soar early? Will this be a 'really bad year' ? I don't know yet. But I do know this - I've been locked up in our condo for far too long. My level of 'shack nasties' is growing extremely high !!
Please- send COLD WEATHER so I can live outside - for at least a while!
